This year’s Fly Fishing Show will be held in Marlborough, MA from Friday January 17th through Sunday January 19th. I will be conducting fly tying demonstrations and seminars on Saturday and Sunday, and holding 2 1/2-hour classes on Friday and Saturday, as follows:
Friday 2:00 – 4:30pm: Sight-Fishing Striped Bass on the Flats – this class deep dives into the details of sight-fishing Northeast flats for striped bass. Strategy, stealth, fish spotting, observing prey, reading fish behavior, presentation, fly selection, retrieve and more are all on the table with this class . . .
Saturday 2:00 – 4:30pm: Reading Beaches: Successful Strategies and Tactics, Day or Night – fishing ocean beaches is a unique saltwater experience for pursuing striped bass, bluefish, weakfish and other game fish. However, most beaches are BIG and at times difficult to “read”, which can challenge even veteran anglers. Recognizing and understanding unique beach and surf structures, when/how to best fish them in various weather and surf conditions, effective presentations, special fishing tactics, flies, tackle and equipment, and personal safety are all intended “take-aways”.
